Information

Why do we need to ask for subs?

Subs cover several of the costs incurred from running each section and the scout group as a whole and are collected monthly. They cover insurance, capitation, resources, some activities, etc.

How much?

To keep it simple we charge £12 every month, which covers all the weekly meeting costs, insurance, capitation and some activities. We ask for camp and activity fees when the section finances won’t cover the whole cost of the activity/ camp although they are almost always subsidised by the section. New Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts won’t need to pay anything until they are invested which is normally about 4 – 6 weeks after they start.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
